About Me
Hi, I am Anita Jeter-Peterkin and I enjoy writing poems and poetry. I wrote my first (very self published) book of poetry about ten years ago titled "A Moment of Thoughts" and I am releasing my second self published (but with a company doing the design work) book titled "Wrapped-N-Pink" a poetic story of a woman surviving breast cancer through fear, faith, trust and hope. I plan to write more books of poetry and maybe one day write a variety of books to share with my readers. |

About Us Written Against Cultural Stagnation was birthed through a poem written by the same name in early December 2008. WACS was established to provide the masses with timeless material related to life and society. We celebrate the freedom of expression with the hopes that the people are compelled to do the same. Our foundation is the freedom of expression and there are 3 pillars, (Inspiration, Awareness, and Growth), that sit atop this foundation in order to support the WACS purpose. Through written speech we reach to reach any and all.
WACS Online is the online vehicle for WACS. This a FREE site for authors, writers, artists, bloggers, poets, and readers alike. WACS Online is a display of poetry, prose, opinion, music, artwork, literature, news, and much more. It was always my aim to provide a platform for not only myself, but for those who share a common purpose and are willing to collaborate on an idea greater than individual ambition. That in and of itself, is against cultural stagnation. We have grown over the years with key contributors from Memphis, Tennessee, Brooklyn, New York, Louisville, Kentucky, North Carolina, and England. It is with great pleasure that we have been able to reach good people who truly understand and value the pleasures of participation. WACS Online is a museum of sorts when it comes to the various displays and ideas we bring forth.
Some of the benefits of networking with WACS include: We provide the opportunity of having your work displayed in an incomparable fashion on a page all your own, with all rights reserved to the author. If you are a writer/poet trying to build a portfolio, having an individual page on a website, which is not your own, will only help to get your work further into the public’s view.
